Private Photography Sessions in the Faroe Islands
A private day in the field with a native Faroese photographer. I pick you up, read the weather, and take you to the places worth shooting – with guidance throughout.
Available as weekend full days or summer evenings.
What You're Booking
This isn't a fixed-route tour. It's a private session in the field – moving between locations, reading conditions as we go, and talking through the photography the whole time.
I grew up here. I've photographed these islands in every kind of weather, hiked every mountain, and spent years learning where the light does something special. That local knowledge is what you're booking.

Summer Evenings:
Weekday evenings, May through August. Sessions run from 18:00 until the light fades – which in June and July means close to midnight. Expect 3 to 5 hours depending on the season.
• Same pickup-and-drive format as the full day
• Ideal for travellers already visiting the Faroes who want to make the most of the evening light
• Solo or small group, up to 4 people
The Faroese summer evening is genuinely special. Long after the sun dips, the sky stays lit and the colours just keep shifting.
Weekend Full Days:
Saturdays and Sundays, upon request. Approx. 7-8 hours in the field. I pick you up, we drive to a mix of locations chosen that morning based on the forecast, and I guide you throughout.
• Pickup from wherever you're staying on the main island
• Locations chosen fresh each morning – weather-smart, not a fixed route
• On-location teaching and guidance the whole day
• Any skill level welcome – I adapt to where you are
• Solo (1:1) or small group, up to 4 people

What Clients Say
""My day with Bogi in the Faroes was spectacular. We had shifting weather and he made a few audibles and put us in the right spots to take advantage of good light. He even helped me think outside of the box with macro and black/white photography. He picks you up and drives you around too – well worth his daily rate."

FAQ
What if the weather is bad?
Dramatic weather is part of what makes the Faroes worth photographing. I read the forecast each morning and choose locations where the conditions work for us – we don't cancel for rain or cloud. Those days often produce the best shots.
Do I need to be an experienced photographer?
Not at all. Any skill level is welcome and I adapt to where you are. Beginners get a grounding in how to see and shoot the scene. More experienced photographers get deeper location knowledge and more nuanced guidance.
Where will we go?
Locations are chosen on the morning based on weather and light. We might head to Vágar, Eysturoy, Streymoy or further north – the islands are small enough to cover a lot of ground in a day. Flexibility is the product.
