Payment, Cancellations & Refund Policy
Updated for 2025–2026 tours
Running photography tours in the Faroe Islands means working with nature, weather, and travel logistics that can change fast.
This page sets clear expectations before you book.
1. Booking & Payments
10% non-refundable deposit secures your spot.
Balance due 60 days before the tour start date.
Bookings within 60 days require full payment.
All payments are to be made via IBAN/SWIFT bank transfer.
(Any transfer or conversion fees are the responsibility of the participant.)
2. Cancellation by Participant
Email me to cancel. The date I receive your email is the official cancellation date.
Time before tour Refund or credit
60+ days Refund minus 10% admin fee
30–60 days 50% refund or credit toward future tour
< 30 days No refund, unless your spot is re-filled → then a partial refund may apply
3. Cancellation by Organizer
If I must cancel before the tour begins (safety, weather, or low enrollment), you’ll receive a 100% refund of payments made.
If a tour in progress ends early due to extreme circumstances, a partial pro-rata refund applies.
I’m not responsible for outside costs (flights, hotels, insurance, etc.)
4. Force Majeure / Weather & Travel Conditions
Flights to/from the Faroe Islands can be delayed or cancelled due to weather. I recommend flexible tickets and arriving a day early.
In high winds, storms, or unsafe conditions, we may adjust or reschedule the plan for safety.
These events are Force Majeure (beyond our control) and do not qualify for refunds, but I’ll always aim to provide the best alternative experience.
Also includes natural disasters, epidemics, government restrictions, and transport shutdowns.
5. Replacement Participants
If I can re-fill your spot (waitlist/new booking), I may issue a refund minus a small admin fee.
6. Travel & Insurance
You’re responsible for travel and cancellation insurance, including flights, gear, and medical coverage.
Choose insurance that covers weather-related delays/interruption.
7. What’s Included / Not Included
Included: as listed on the tour page — accommodation (if stated), local transport, tunnel/ferry fees, entrance fees, and photography instruction.
Not included: international flights, meals (unless stated), insurance, alcohol, personal expenses.
8. Risk & Liability
Outdoor photography here can involve slippery terrain, steep paths, and fast-changing weather. By joining, you accept these risks and agree to follow guide instructions.
You release Bogi Olsen Photography and affiliated guides from liability for injury, loss, or damage, except in cases of proven negligence.
9. Updates
